Lucca
The name derives from an ancient Celtic-Ligurian term "Luk" that is swampy place. The municipal coat of arms is one of the oldest in Italy, born in the first half of the twelfth century, the first witness dates back to 1182. The emblem is made of a white and red shield above it is a crown of Marquis, the classes were added in the eighteenth century and are united by a red ribbon and white. Among the works of art to be seen are the famous Holy Face now located inside the cathedral. Lucca is also famous for the majestic walls with multiple doors, among the most famous Porta Elisa. The latter is named after Elisa Bonaparte, sister of the famous Bonaparte commander who gave the bridegroom's sister, the principality of Lucca.
